OUR SERVICES: The Career Clinic has been
serving Seattle employers for over 25
years. We believe that the secret to our
success lies in the structure of our business.
At the Career Clinic, each counselor specializes
in particular industries, making each
counselor an expert in the different positions
and skill requirements of his or her focus
industry. In addition, our employer clients
work directly with an individual counselor.
This enables the counselor to better screen
applicants and present not only technically
qualified applicants, but also applicants
whose personalities and goals match those
desired by the employer clients.
Our services save our clients valuable
time. We first telephone screen applicants
for technical qualifications. It is not
unusual to have 100+ responses to a particular
advertisement. Applicants with the required
technical skills are then invited to interview
at our office. Each applicant visiting
our office is interviewed by at least
two of our employment counselors. Each
of our counselors is a qualified human
resources expert. Each, however, possesses
a slightly different interviewing style
and a different perception of what is
professional and essential in a good candidate.
By having multiple counselors interview
the applicant, the counselor working for
you has access to a well-rounded consensus
on the technical and personal characteristics
as well as career aspirations, of each
applicant. It is common to conduct personal
interviews with 20 or more qualified candidates
for a particular position. After these
interviews, our counselor will present
to you 3 to 5 best applicants. The best
are chosen based upon technical skill,
stability, professionalism, and fit with
your office culture. In addition to placement
services, we provide personnel consulting
services at no additional charge to our
clients. We are happy to assist with salary
surveys to aid in determining salary structures
or appropriate raises. We are also available
as a resource for information on policy
issues and preparation of job descriptions,
offer letters, and employment contracts.
OUR GUARANTEE: When an employer client
pays the fee for one of our applicants,
we guarantee that the applicant will stay
on the job for at least six months. We
are able to give this unique guarantee
because we meticulously screen our applicants.

OUR GOAL: We think of ourselves as an

departments. We offer you advice and assistance
in all areas of human resources management,

to further save you time; we screen and
present you with a select few highly qualified
applicants, which meet your specific needs.
Employee hiring is among the most important
business decisions you make. The Career
Clinic recommends that you choose your
personnel and management consultants with
the same care you take in choosing your
lawyer, doctor, accountant or other professionals.
OUR FEE STRUCTURE: Our fee structure
is designed to reflect the difficulty
in finding a particular applicant. For
example, a fee for an entry-level position,
requiring only rudimentary skills, is
significantly less than a fee for an executive
search involving more rare and valuable
skills. Importantly, though, all fees
are negotiable. For example, our clients
with exclusive or long-term relationships
with the Career Clinic enjoy customized
fee schedules reflecting the commitment
and value we place on such business. Subject
to approval by the personnel director,
any fee may be negotiated between the
employer client, the counselor and/or
the applicants. In cases where an applicant
is asked to pay a portion of the fee,
payment plans can be arranged.
