2. Who conducts the PTE exam?

The Pearson PLC Group conducts the PTE exam, which is available online around the clock and can be booked easily until the last date. The PTE Exam booking can be done in 35 PTE test centers in India. 3.1. PTE Academic (PTE-A)

The PTE Home test allows you to take your exam from home or any other location. The pattern of this exam is the same as the academic version of the exam but the results of the PTE online exams are now approved for visa applications.

4. Eligibility criteria for the PTE exam

4.1. The nationality of the student

5. Know the PTE Exam Pattern in 2024

5.1. The Reading Section (32 to 40 minutes)

Fill In The Blanks (Reading and Writing): Read the paragraph carefully and then fill in the blanks with the right answer.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): Read the passage and select the two right answers for the given questions.

Reorder the paragraph: you have to read the complete paragraph to re-order or rephrase the sentences.

Reading, Fill in the Blanks: Read the complete paragraph for choosing the right option in the provided fill-in-the-blanks.

Single Answer MCQs: Read the paragraph to choose the right answer in the given four options.

5.2. The Listening Section (45 to 57 minutes)

Summarize a spoken test: Listen carefully to a recorded clip or a segment of an interview for writing the summarized concept of the recorded audio.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): Listen to the recorded audio and choose the two possible options for the questions.

Fill in the blanks: Listen to the audio carefully and fill in the blanks with the right answer.

Highlight the correct summary: Listen to the recorded audio and select a sentence that closely relates to the audio.

Single-answer MCQs: Choose the right option from the four options by listening to the recorded audio.

Select the missing word: Listen to the entire recording wisely and identify the right missing word from the given options.

Highlight Incorrect Word: Listen to the recorded audio and read the complete paragraph to identify the wrong word and then replace it with the right word.

Write the dictation: Listen to the audio and understand the concept of the recording to write the answers to the given questions.

5.3. The Speaking and Writing section (77 to 93 minutes)

Personal introduction: You will get only 25 seconds to read a prompt and prepare your answer. In the next 30 seconds, you have to record your answer.

Read Aloud: Within 35 seconds you have to read the prompted sentences on the screen aloud for the recording of your answer.

Repeat a Sentence: Hear the sentence carefully and repeat the proposed sentence to complete the answer.

Describe an Image: You will get a graphic representation that you have to see for a few seconds to understand it. Then, within 40 seconds, you have to describe the image in a recording.

Retell a Lecture: The examiner will play a recording of an interview and show you an image. You have to interpret and understand the segments to record your answer within 60 seconds.

Answer A Short Question: You have to hear the recorded questions and write down the short answers.

Summarize written text: Read the paragraph and write down a short summary of the passage within 10 minutes. The options of cut, copy and paste are allowed to be used in this section. So, choose the words that you want to use for formulating your answer.

Essay: In this section, you will get a brief paragraph for the reference that you have to compose in an essay of 200 to 300 words. The cut, copy and paste options are allowed to be used in this section too.
