8. Enrolling in University
According to the Italian university education system, students must be at least 17 years of age and complete 12 years of schooling, to be eligible for studying in Italy. Students can directly enroll themselves at the official website of the university. Once registered, the student will receive an “identification number” that will be used to pay university tax and also to register themselves for any other exam.
If the student has selected his/her study program, then they need to check what all necessary admission tests they have to apply for (if there are any). Most of the time, a national level entrance exam is required for courses like Architecture, Dentistry, Professions in Health Care & Educational Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, and Medicine & Surgery.
However, any higher education institution might require admission entrance exams for other courses in addition to those listed.
