Belarusian State Medical University is the most popular medical education institute in the republic of Belarus. The education system at the university is divided into 70 departments including 28 theoretical and 42 clinical. The university organizes its academic classes at 56 teaching hospitals and practical centers. The academic process at BSMU is coordinated with the Academic and Methodology Board that consists of many departments and the Quality Management Sector. Campus Life
The university has three main campuses including administration buildings, student residence and laboratory buildings that houses the Faculty of Pediatrics, Faculty of General medicine, Faculty of Military Medicine, Faculty of Preventive Medicine, Faculty for International Students, Faculty of dentistry, Pharmaceutical faculty, Faculty of Career Guidance and pre-University Training.
The climate of Belarus has a moderate climate with warm summers and cool humid winters. The average temperature in Belarus is -4.5°C to -8°C. In summer the average temperature is +17°C to +18.5°C. The annual rainfall in Belarus ranges from 70% of the rainfall from April to October. Students can enjoy 75 to 125 days of snowfall every year. Hostel and Facilities
Belarusian State Medical University has eight dormitories, which are located in three administrative districts of Minsk. Affordable hostel accommodation is offered to all resident students. The administration of the university and other departments pays more attention to students’ lives. All the dormitories of the university have associations based on the interests of students for sports and creative activities.
Hostel 1: These hostel rooms are designed for 4-5 students with a separated kitchen. It also has a sports room, a relaxation room and a self-study room on the Premises.
Hostel 2: It has room for 2-3 students, with kitchen, bathrooms, study rooms, assembly hall, buffet, laundry, gyms and a creative workshop.
Hostel 3: The hostel rooms are designed for 4-5 students with a kitchen, a dining room, a sports hall, a library, a relaxation room and a study room.
Hostel 4: This hostel is mainly for medical students that houses 4-5 students and each floor has a kitchen, a sports hall, a library, a relaxation room and a study room.
Hostel 5: This dormitory accommodates 2 students and offers a shower room, a bathroom, 4 kitchens on each floor, a dining room, laundry, self-study rooms, and sports halls.
Hostel 6: Here the hostel room accommodates 1-3 students on a sharing basis and offers a bathroom, a kitchen on each floor, laundry, study rooms, a relaxation room, sports halls and a circle room.
Hostel 7: The rooms of this hostel accommodates 1-3 students on a sharing basis, with a bathroom and a kitchen, a self-study room, relaxation room, circle room and sports halls.
Hostel 8: The room accommodates 2- 3 students and offers a kitchen, a bathroom, a dining room, gyms, a relaxation room, an assembly hall, a laundry room, and study rooms.
