Campus Life

LUT's campuses provide a vibrant and innovative atmosphere for students to excel academically and socially. Our university's two campuses are located in Lappeenranta and Lahti, where the basic blocks of student life fall into place right from the beginning. Already for decades, this has been seen by students in the technical and economic fields.

Lappeenranta Campus: Situated in the city of Lappeenranta, this campus houses the LUT School of Energy Systems and the LUT School of Business and Management. The campus offers state-of-the-art facilities and research centers, fostering a culture of sustainability and entrepreneurship.

Lahti Campus: Located in the city of Lahti, this campus hosts the Lahti School of Innovation, offering programs in design and technology. The campus is known for its creative and collaborative environment, encouraging students to explore innovative solutions.

Student Union: The Student Union is a public organization of which purpose is to advance students rights and status in studies and in society. The Student Union of LUT-university offers a myriad of services varying from advocacy to rentable trailers.

LTKY: The Student Union of LUT University, shortly LTKY, was founded in 1969, when the University started to provide education. To date there are around 5500 student members in our Student Union. Every university in Finland has a Student Union and every person studying in the university has to be a member of the Student Union.

Hostel and Facilities

LUT provides various housing options and facilities to support students throughout their academic journey. LUT have spacious, well furnished hostels. Apart from hygienic foods, hostels provide recreational facilities including TVs, indoor games, health Club, and PCOs etc. Each hostel has its live-in wardens, a member of faculty who administers the hostels.

Housing for International Students: LUT provides housing options tailored to the needs of international students pursuing Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

LUT Academic Library: LUT Academic Library is the joint library for LUT University and LAB University of Applied Sciences and provides library services also for the general public in Lappeenranta and in Lahti.

KOE: The student union of LAB University of Applied Sciences is KOE. KOE's mission is to make sure that your studies go as smoothly as possible. They promote the interests of all the students of LAB and the quality of education.

Sports Facilities: On both LUT University campuses, in Lahti and Lappeenranta, they have great places where you can enjoy sports as well as other activities.
