Eötvös Loránd University located in Budapest, Hungary is one of the oldest and most reputable universities in the country founded in 1635 by Cardinal Peter Pazmany and named after the physicist and mathematician Lorand Eotvos. The University has done several changes over the years, including changing its name multiple times. In 1950, it was renamed to Budapest University of Sciences and in 1955 it was renamed again to Eötvös Loránd University. Lágymányos Campus: The Lágymányos campus is located in the 11th district of Budapest, Hungary. It is home to the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Informatics. The campus is situated in a beautiful and peaceful environment, surrounded by trees and greenery. Trefort Garden Campus: The Trefort Garden campus is located in the 8th district of Budapest and is one of the most beautiful and historic campuses of Eötvös Loránd University. It is named after the famous Hungarian naturalist, János Frivaldszky, who was also known as Trefort.

The campus offers the Faculty of Humanities. The campus is surrounded by beautiful gardens and parks, which provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for students and researchers. The campus has many modern facilities, including well-developed classrooms, research centers, and libraries. 

Egyetem tér:  Egyetem tér is the main campus of Eötvös Loránd University, located in the heart of Budapest 5th district. The main building of the campus is a stunning neoclassical structure, which was built in 1884 and is a true architectural gem.

Hostel and Facilities

The Eötvös Loránd University offers two types of housing options for the student including dormitories and private apartments the dormitories are both off-campus and on-campus situated in various parts of the city and they provide the affordable apartment with all facilities and private housing provide shared and single-room apartment with all the facilities and have an independent culture in a private apartment you have the more option to explore the country and enjoy the culture.

Dormitories: The Dormitories are owned by the university and provide full security to the student and are located near the university campus and offer all the facilities such as bed, desk, and wardrobe. They also provide shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities. Students living in dormitories share a room with one or more roommates and this is the best and most affordable option for students who want to live on-campus and be close to the university campus.

Private Housing: This includes private apartments with the option of single-room shared rooms and homestays. Private accommodation offers more privacy and independence as compared to dormitories. Students who live in private apartments have their own room, their own kitchen and if they live in shared apartments they have a shared room and shared kitchen. They provide all the facilities which include internet, common areas and TV. Private houses are more expensive as compared to dormitories but offer greater flexibility and independence.
