Campus Life
The University of Malaya has two main campuses, one in Kuala Lumpur and another in Singapore. These campuses house 13 residential colleges in which 11 are in-campusand 2 off-campus. The university campus also has an Olympic-sized swimming pool, the UM Arena and the Rimba Ilmu Botanical Gardens, which boasts a full course running track. The campus offers several museums of different fields and numerous sports facilities such as gymnasiums, courts and fields. The teaching hospital of the university is recognised as University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) that is located at the boundaries of UM. The campus of the university also has Residential Colleges, libraries, Museums and galleries. There are three kinds of libraries available at the university campus : central library, branch library and central libraries.
These libraries have all the resources for the study of Dental, environment, East Asian studies, engineering, Indian studies, Languages and Linguistics.

Hostel and Facilities
The University of Malaya offers on-campus and off-campus accommodation facilities to local and international students. The on-campus accommodation is available for the students of diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
For local students, the accommodations are centrally planned, which is administering student housing on campus. The university has 14 Residential Colleges and 2 Special Accommodations for local students of the university. UM is helping and supervising international and postgraduate student housing on the university campus. The university has a 10th Residential College and some International Houses for the accommodation of international students. Students are also allowed to live in off-campus accommodation. The Student Accommodation Matters of the university is responsible for supporting and consulting students for off-campus housing. The residential accommodation of the university is mainly hostels. Some of the main residentials for the students are Tuanku Abdul Rahman Residential College, Tuanku Bahiyah Residential College (Engineering Hostel), Tuanku Kurshiah Residential College, Bestari Residential College, Dayasari Residential College, Ibnu Sina Residential College (Clinical Students Hostel), Za'ba Residential College, Kinabalu Residential College, Tun Syed Zahiruddin Residential College (off-campus limits), Tun Ahmad Zaidi Residential College, Ungku Aziz Residential College, Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah Residential College and International Islamic University of Malaysia Petaling Jaya foundation campus. The residential colleges of the university offer all basic facilities to students including cafes, restaurants, gyms, self-study rooms and Wi-Fi facilities.
