Harvard University has three main campuses:Cambridge campus which is centered on Harvard Yard,  an adjoining campus across Charles River in the Allston neighborhood of Boston and the medical campus located in Boston's Longwood Medical Area.

Cambridge Campus: Harvard University’s main campus is located on Harvard Yard ("the Yard") in Cambridge, covering nearly 209-acre (85 ha). It is situated 3 miles (5 km) west-northwest of downtown Boston. The Yard has several administrative offices like University Hall, Massachusetts Hall and libraries (Pusey, Widener, Lamont, Houghton and Memorial Church). The Yard Includes main  buildings of the Faculty of Science and Arts, including colleges like Harvard Hall and Sever Hall. 

Allston Campus: The campus in Allston houses Harvard Innovation Labs, Harvard Business School and several athletics facilities like Harvard Stadium. It is located just across the Charles River near to the Cambridge campus. A pedestrian bridge over the Charles River named John W. Weeks Bridge connects these two university campuses. Harvard University is actively investing in this campus and including new construction and renovating it as Business Schools, graduate student housing, hotel and conference areas, athletics facilities and Harvard Stadium. 

Longwood Campus: The schools of Medicine, Public Health and Dental Medicine of Harvard University are situated on a 21-acre (8.5 ha) campus. Most of the Harvard-affiliated hospitals

and research institutes are available at this campus such as Boston Children's Hospital, Dana–Farber Cancer Institute, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, the Wyss Institute for Biologically and Joslin Diabetes Center.

Hostel and Facilities

Harvard University  housing system is structured  to provide a complete student-friendly environment for all academic years of students. 

On-Campus Accommodation: The first year generally lives  in Harvard Yard's dormitories, which is located at the prime location of the university. Here they can enjoy eating in the historical and charming Annenberg hall of dining. From second year the students may be placed  in one of 12 Harvard houses for continuing their higher education at the university. The university also has a 13th House for non-residents, including graduate student members.

Each accommodation of the university, houses 350-500 students with all essential facilities such as common areas, facilities to support academic, cultural activities, recreational and its own dining hall. 

Off-Campus Accommodation: Several off-campus housing facilities are available at Harvard University that may cost between 800 to 1000 USD per month. Students can choose to live from three  types of residences including shared apartments, apartments with 3 bedrooms and studio apartments. All amenities such as water, electricity, and internet access is included in the rent for student residences.
Common Facilities: All resources for academics, dining and cultural activities. Water, electricity and internet access is also provided at Harvard University to create a student friendly environment.
