Courses and Fee Structure of Australian Universities Setting in India

Two reputed universities in Australia- Deakin University and the University of Wollongong have decided to set up their campuses in India.

Deakin University has announced the application for master's programs in Business Analytics and Cyber Security, beginning in July 2024. Students must pay an annual tuition fee of AUD 19,000 (Rs 10 lakh) for these programs.

The University of Wollongong is offering a Master of Computing (Data Analytics) and Graduate Certificate in Computing that will also follow an undergraduate course in 2025. The tuition fees have to be set at 50% of those incurred by international students who are studying in Australia at the University of Wollongong campuses. For these programs, students are required to pay a tuition fee of AUD 18,000 (Rs 9.9 lakh) every year.

If we compare the tuition fees of Indian universities and Australian universities for an MBA program at the top management colleges of India, such as the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore (IIM-B) the tuition fees may cost around Rs 12.50 lakh per year, covering a total of tuition fees, course material, hostel room rent, internet, case permission royalty, medical insurance, service charge and alumni activity.

Deakin University and the University of Wollongong will offer all these programs in India with the same teaching period structure and an identical curriculum offered to study in Australia
