The Education Ministers of India and Australia met and Agreed to Increase the Research Collaboration
This week, Union Education Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan met with Minister for Education, Government of Australia, Jason Clare. In this meeting, both countries agreed to enhance the research collaboration in specific areas such as minerals, mines and critical minerals. After the meeting, they announced the opening of the University of Wollongong and Deakin University campuses in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The education minister of India, Dharmendra Pradhan said that “ the opening of Australian University campuses will bring high-quality learning opportunities at the doorstep of our country. The vibrant campuses of these two universities in the land of opportunities- Gujarat, are a blessing for our student community. On this momentous occasion, I heartily congratulate them and thank PM Narendra Modi for his efforts and vision to transform the education system of India through the NEP.”
He informed that 6 Australian universities have also created a consortium in education and skill development. He added Today, over 1 lakh Indian students went to study in Australia and approximately 400 00 tie-ups have been entered between Indian and Australian institutions.
