The UK’s Queen’s University Belfast plans to Spend £100 Million on Housing for International Students
Queen’s University, Belfast, which is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of UK research-intensive universities has announced to invest over £100 million in the next four years to to meet the accommodation needs of international students in Belfast.
Rishi Sunak the Prime Minister of the UK has announced that “ immigration of international students in the UK is too high” and claimed that the UK government is taking radical action to bring it down. The PM has banned international students from bringing their families to the UK unless they are taking a master's research degree.
Data collected by Queen’s University in the UK revealed that Belfast currently houses over 45,000 students attending their 3rd level of education. It is estimated that more than 3,000 rooms will be required in the next five years in Belfast. To provide student-friendly accommodation to all international students, the varsity plans to add more beds in Belfast.
